Learn the fine old art of Crazy Quilting and Ribbon work in a fun-filled two-day adventure with Betty. Her passion for these two fibre arts are well known. They are combined in one class so you can create a wonderful heirloom wall hanging that will be admired and drooled over for years to come. You will create a patchwork of color and texture with your fabrics and then embellish the surface with wonderful stitches and ribbon work. Participants will discover other ways to play with fabric, manipulating it by scrunching, folding and ruching. Embellishing will included embroidering with silk & metallic threads, ribbon floss & textured yarns. The piece will be further enhanced with charms, buttons, beads and other interesting touches. The ribbon work will include learning how to make flowers with silk ribbon, bias ribbon and wired ribbon. These can be added to your crazy quilt, creating a feast for the eye.
